CST & Cold Laser Therapy

Combining Cold Laser Therapy with Craniosacral Therapy for Humans, Horses & Dogs

Cold Laser Therapy (also known as Low-Level Laser Therapy) and Craniosacral Therapy (CST) complement each other beautifully across species— human, equine, and canine. While each modality supports the body in different ways, together they create a more complete, holistic approach to releasing tension, improving mobility, and supporting the nervous system.

Cold Laser Therapy works at the cellular level, using specific wavelengths of light to stimulate tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and support circulation. It’s especially valuable for muscular strain, joint discomfort, ligament injuries, and chronic areas of congestion.

Craniosacral Therapy, on the other hand, works through gentle, hands-on techniques to balance the craniosacral system—the membranes, fluids, and fascial structures surrounding the brain, spinal cord, and entire body. CST helps regulate the autonomic nervous system, reduces deep patterns of tension, and allows the body to shift out of “fight-or-flight” into a state where healing is possible.

Why They Work So Well Together?

Nervous System + Tissue Repair:

  • CST calms the nervous system, which enhances the body’s receptivity to cold laser treatment and can speed up natural healing responses.

Pain Reduction from Two Pathways:

  • Cold laser reduces inflammation and discomfort externally, while CST releases internal fascial and neurological restrictions that contribute to pain.

Improved Mobility & Posture:

  • Laser therapy softens and supports the tissue structures, making craniosacral releases easier and more effective, especially in horses and dogs with compensatory patterns.

Whole-Body Integration:

  • Combining the two modalities addresses both structural and energetic/neurological factors, providing a deeper, more lasting change

Across Species:

  • Humans: Helpful for chronic neck/back pain, migraines, TMJ dysfunction, stress-related tension, post-injury recovery.

  • Horses: Excellent for supporting poll tension, sacroiliac patterns, soft-tissue injuries, fascia restrictions, and improving performance comfort.

  • Dogs: Ideal for older dogs, mobility issues, soft-tissue injuries, post-surgery support, anxiety, and chronic compensatory patterns.

Gentle cold laser therapy combining science and acupressure to support natural healing in both horses and humans.
